YES
1. Luggage Straps
I really liked this, it has a good stretch so I can strap my backpack onto my carry on instead of carrying it all the time. The only thing I noticed is depends on the size of your bag, sometimes you will have to adjust it so that it doesn't fall out from the side.
2. Power Plug Adapters
This is a must if you go outside of the country. I bought two different kinds, but ended up only using the single European adapters since they are more flexible and can be used anywhere.
3. Portable Charger
This is a must if you plan to take a lot of pictures.
4. Foldable Hat
I love this hat since I can fold it as needed in my luggage.
5. Magnetic Hat Clip
This works very well.
6. Luggage Tags
This helps to identify your own luggage much easier. Even though we packed light and had carry ons, the airlines had asked us to check in a couple times due to full flight.
MAYBE
1. Portable Clothesline - Depends on Destination
This is not necessary for my trip to Greece. Reason being all the airbnbs come with a place to dry clothes outside since that is how the locals do it.
I think it could come in handy if you are on a cruise ship and you have a room with a balcony.
2. Laundry Soap Sheets
I might not used this correctly, but it didn't give me as much foam as I hoped it would. I still like the idea to bring something like this on the trip.
3. Water Bottle with Filter
I think this will work well if traveling to places where it is ok to drink tap water. Otherwise, I don't think you want to risk getting sick even though it comes with a filter.
4. Sea Band
I used this on all my transportations this time. I am not 100% sure whether it worked or not, but it might be better than not have it.
NOT NECESSARY
1. Travel Cup Holder
This seems to be a good idea, however I still end up carrying the coffee in my hand afraid it would spill on my luggage. I usually travel with a backpack, so I put my bottled drinks in there.
2. Inflatable Neck Pillow
This is also one of those things that seems to be a good idea. This particular one I purchased is very small, and inflats fast. However it has a very strong rubber smell, that makes me equally uncomfortable.
Delta did provide a pillow and blanket on the international flight, so I ended up putting them on the tray table, and slept that way.
3. Umbrellas
I packed umbrellas in case it rains and I can still go outside and take pictures. However the reality is you might need that extra hand to carry things, so I have decided to invest in a good rain jacket instead. (It rained on me when I was hauling my luggage waiting to board the ferry.)
4. Earbuds
It turns out Delta hands out free headphones now on international flights. This is no longer needed. Also, I might try the wireless plug next time. Less cable the better.
5. Portable Door Lock
I like the concept of having another security lock from inside especially when you try outside the country. However, this lock doesn't work with any doors in Greece airbnb.
